Swedenborg's Theological writings are the most engaging and instructive keys to understanding the Lord's revelation that have ever been written. Apocalypse Explained & Apocalypse Revealed

Apocalypse Explained: In 1757 Emanuel Swedenborg set out to write a comprehensive commentary on the Apocalypse or Book of Revelation. Over the next two years he put together an incredibly comprehensive exegesis of every verse in the Book of Revelation right up to chapter 19:10. In some ways his approach was similar to the way he had written the Arcana Caelestia. But, somewhat mysteriously, before he had completed it he stopped without sending any of it for publication. He left the manuscript neatly written, as if for the press, and marked the word Londini on the title page and the date 1759. Later in 1766 he published a much shorter work entitled Apocalypse Revealed.. The six-volume set of Apocalypse Explained covers the Book of Revelation, chapters 1-19.

Published in 1766, Apocalypse Revealed is a complete study of the book of Revelation. In this work, the only one that he had published during his lifetime, Swedenborg explores the inner sense of the visions seen by the Apostle John the Scroll with Seven Seals, the Four Horses, the Holy City New Jerusalem, and more. This work makes sense of the many confusing images and ideas in the final book of the Bible.

Angelic Wisdom concerning the Divine Providence

What governs the world we live in and the outcome of our lives? This book explains that all the forces operating in creation are contained within, and ultimately serve, an over-arching Divine providence. God is love itself, and therefore the primary goal of Divine providence is our eternal happiness. We attain happiness by being joined to God, the source of life. It is love that conjoins, and genuine love can be given only in freedom. Therefore, in His providence God always seeks to preserve our uniquely human faculties of freedom and reason. Because humans tend to misuse these faculties for evil ends, it is inevitable that painful things will happen. In providence, God permits evil for the sake of maintaining the freedom upon which our salvation depends, but He never wills it. And in the end, those who follow His way find the peace and joy of heaven. As a hidden current silently draws a ship in the ocean, so providence leads us out of our self-involvement and the confusion of merely natural thought, and into the order and joy of heavenly life into the true humanity for which we were created.

Married Love or Conjugial Love

Married Love" is the love a husband and wife share while they look to the Lord in useful service to others. This love lasts to eternity with the couple growing closer and closer.
